Been speaking to a lot of Thai's and if the weather's anything like this in a few weeks Songkran is off - For those who haven't numbed every sensery organ with Lao Kao! Myself included, having cold water thrown over me now is unthinkable.

The weather has been really weird last few months. We went to Krabi for our Xmas holidays and it was cold, cloudy and raining for most of the week.

Well, they weren't wrong! Just come back from a week in the North and Sunday night they had the Mother of all storms in the Phrae area. I have not seen a display like that since Air America went home!
There is a big ugly storm hanging over Bangkok at the moment, overcast, dark and thunder.

Yes, here in Rayong as well where it's been raining hard since 0930, and very cool once again. I think soon we can talk about a hot season that fizzled. Pete

Here in HH, I did my normal beach walk this morning starting at 10am. It was so hot, without a breath of wind, that I gave up halfway to Khao Takiab. Just not worth dehydrating too much.
I reckon there's a storm brewing though.

A couple of hours south in Bangsaphan, we had the thunder storms yesterday, but the rain clouds just blew over. Today, started off sunny with Cloud cover by lunchtime. Can hear thunder in the distance, but still no rain.
