Well, if it isn't being run by a Thai company, that explains the high prices. I can only but imagine how much the said company has to pay in order to operate here, and that doesn't include additional tea money to get permits and etc. in place.
As far as marketing for Thais only - a true businessman could care less who he gets his money from. So, if you ask me, the "Thai only" posters are simply down to poor business skills. Let's face it, you don't see the "real" businesses in Thailand ignoring the Farang population - mobile phone industry is just one example. If you run a business, you're in it for the money, and who hands over that money is of very little importance.
Lastly, for those who feel the average Hua-Hin Thai doesn't want us here - I have heard many local Thais also complain about the crowds (Thai) coming
from Bangkok over the weekends. Hell, I see Thais getting strange looks in Borfai simply because they are not from Borfai. I support a little local shop that is owned by Thais from down south, and it's clear to see that they are not really accepted here by the true locals. All the local shop owners buy goods from each other, and yet none of them support this one particular shop. I also think that most Farang alienate themselves here by never really integrating. One example is when you see Farang drive 1.5km's to a 7/11, rather than buy from the nearest mom and pop shop, and these are all thing which the Thais take note of.
What an interesting country to live in - I just love seeing people get all nervous flustered because they don't have the all-powerful nanny state environment to take care of them.

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact
