Does anyone know of a good long term rental property?

Post by easyas »

I'm looking for a long term (6 to 12 month) property rental in Hua Hin or Cha Am. Must be fully furnished. Properties advertised by local agents are invariably over priced, usually develoment stock they can't sell!

I've just spent the last month looking at every property in Hua Hin. I've sent you a private message.

I don't believe you will be able to access any private message.

If you wish to request the mods to send an email address to me as a private message I will respond.
(Not sure how you do that but mods are very helpful).

Not sure of what level accom you require

If you don't want to use the websites (where the work has been done for you) you need to do a bit of leg work and scour the sois, there is a guide on how to do that here: http://www.expathuahin.com/renting-huahin.php
Properties advertised by local agents are invariably over priced, usually develoment stock they can't sell!
Not always the case, the listings on this site have a lot of privately owned places uploaded by owners: http://property.huahinafterdark.com/pro ... pe=H&for=R (The cheap ones are on the last page).

The PM policy is explained here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=10054

Suggest you get posting. :thumb:

To Moderator
Can't quote you - not allowed to include http addresses in my reply!
However:
I've looked at the last 2 pages of the listings - nothing appealing, I'm afraid!
I'm getting close on the number of posts. :)
There is a post asking whether a moderator could put people in touch via email.

Try reading the forum starter pack I linked to earlier, it explains everything including why you cant post links: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=10054

We don't swap users email addresses as promoting property via the site is also against the terms and conditions, landlords that want to rent property via this forum can take a listing on the database.

Posting junk wont help either, if you're planning to live in Hua Hin for a year why not look at other threads on the board and post something constructive or ask a few questions - there must be something of interest aside from finding a cheap house?

The Mrs. and I have looked at +-80 properties (3 bedrooms, under 20k per month category) over the past 3 weeks and there are some good places out there. I will be happy to share some tips and even the contact details of an agency that earns their keep....once you get access to the PM system drop me a line and I'll be happy to tell all :)

I don't consider thanking people who have been knid enough ro reply offering help "posting jumk"!

As for "there must other things of interest in Hua Hin than finding cheap accomodation" well, quite frankly, as a retiree forced by an unwanted divorce to eke out an existence on a government pension alone, there isn't! I currently live on Samui and am contemplating a move to HH. I am here for a few days only to see if I like the place and if it has suitable accomodation. Also to see if the ex-pat natives are friendly, as it were.
