He's missed a few games since he took out that super injunction. Image

Do you Arsenal fans think it might be worth signing up someone like Given for a couple of seasons whilst Szczesny develops ? Aluminia and Fabianski are both pretty naff.
Almunia is on his way, but i think Fabianski will be ok as a number 2.
Szczesny is gonna be the business, so not sure if we will sign a new keeper, if we do, it will be an experienced one like Given.
But you definitely need a couple of central defenders,a midfielder to replace Fabregas (Barcelona) and another striker to help Van Persie out......maybe even a new manager to replace Wenger ??
We have Vermaelan to come back & Koscielny has done ok for his first season.
One top class CB will do.
IF Fab goes, of course he will be replaced, same with nasri if he doesn't agree a new contract.

An out & out striker who can get us 20 plus goals a season is a must though.

I think Wenger will still be in charge next year  maybe his last one if we don't win anything :? :|

In his column for the Mail on Sunday, Kenny Dalglish wrote: "I have sympathy for Arsene Wenger, who has produced breathtaking football, qualified for the latter stages of the Champions League every season and overseen a move to a new stadium without bankrupting his club, Arsenal. But the fact they take on Manchester United today following another trophyless season means he is considered 'under pressure'.

"I am sure the Arsenal board will want the very best manager for their club and they are perfectly entitled to seek that.

"All I can say is that if they ever set themselves the task of finding someone better than Wenger, very good luck to them. They'll need it."

Very true words :thumb:

I was more intimating that it would be Wengers decision to stand down (maybe move upstairs), rather than him getting the sack :|

Cracking game last night.....although Lampards goal set up an exciting finish United were good value for their win......5-2 would probably have been a more realistic scoreline.
Hernandez at 6.5m or Torres at 50m......who would you prefer in your team ?
Man of the match for me was either Van der Sar or Vidic.Van der Sar is certainly going out at the top of his game and it would be nice if he could win the Champions League in his final appearance for the club.
What of Chelsea ? They didnt play badly but this is not the same standard side of the teams put out by Mourinho and Hiddink.
Guys like Cech,Cole,Lampard,Terry,Drogba and Anelka have seen their best days and some of the new signings are not good enough.
It could be that Ancellotti could be on his way as he is not now perceived as the right man for the job.
Well, when Butch Wilkins was his no2 he was certainly the right man then.
It was the disgraceful decision to sack Wilkins that cost Chelsea the title.....nothing else.
But the club is the owners toy so he can do what he wants without recrimination.
The dream of winning the Champions League is as far away now as when Ranieri was manager though.
And next season we might even see Liverpool back in the top 3......heaven forbid ! 8)

Well done Man United and congratulations on acheiving the most league titles this coming weekend.

The season is now officially over for me!

Roll on Leinster v Northampton. Forest in the play offs, Notts playing some good cricket and winning the CCC again, the new season 2011/12 and the rugby world cup. :D

Well done Liverpool! They now have Tottenham and Aston Villa to finish things up, whereas MC has Tottenham, Stoke and Bolton, and Tottenham has MC, Liverpool and Birmingham. Liverpool could make it to the Champions League next season? Pete

City only need 3 points to put it beyond Liverpool unfortunately.
We've certainly turned things around though.

I was just watching the weekly Barclays show and they said Tevez will likely return for the Tottenham match. That may put a lid on things for Liverpool, but I think the Europa League is very achievable.

They are also all predicting the 3 W's are going down and the 3B's staying up.

Further, I thought Cardiff was coming up, but now I see they're in a playoff position. Everyone is predicting NF to be in the 3rd spot. Pete

Give us Micah Richards and Joe Hart and remind Defoe how to score regularly - I'll enjoy next season even more!

I see Bendtner wants to go to Barcelona... good luck with that!
This is the way
