anybody know where i can find Some Clay for Ceramics n kiln

I have been wanting to do some clay sculptures but can't seem to find clay or a kiln anywhere in hua hin,. Anybody know where i can find these? I'm guessing that there should be some around, i mean i see clay pots everywhere. If anybody knows where please let me know

A similar discussion took place on here over a year ago I think when someone was looking for a pottery class in the HH area. As a result of that old topic I think there are facilities available (just North of the Palace maybe?) so presumably there are decent electric kilns too.
But I've never seen clay or kilns for sale in HH.
Yes there are plenty of pots around - mostly in red clay. If you want to use a fine white or buff clay that should be available somewhere, if not in HH, because ceramics are an important craft product in the LOS (Celadon pottery being the prime example.)
If you can source the clay but not the kiln I'd consider making your own slow burning wood/straw kiln, but I'm not sure how that method would cope with porcelain and you would still have a problem with the glaze firing.

Maybe worth a try...just out of HH going down the main road to Pranburi, there are some shops selling garden pots, red clay. I am not sure if they throw the pots themselves but worth asking. There is also a car wash on that road, next door there is a big building selling pots, again you can ask. Maybe they would let you use their kiln, if they have one, for a small fee. Just a thought...

Vic Hua-Hin have clay modelling classes on weekends, but not sure whether they have kilns and so on. Even so, I'm sure they could tell you where to get the clay, and maybe even where you can locate a kiln.

Thank you so much, i didn't think about that, i will go by and check it out, the Vic Hua Hin that is, i did try those pot shops , but they had no idea they told me they buy the pots already made and don't know where they buy them,, If i find something Ill let you guys know , just in case someone els wants to know.

ok so vic hua hin didn't have a clue but they did say to look up Baan Silapin,, they are supposed to have but i can't find a # for it. Does anybody know about this place?
