I think a City Break package holiday will be his only option for that
Liverpool v Spurs this Sunday.....Spurs have to win to keep in contention for a UEFA League spot.....if they really want it ??

Of course we do. No doubt whatsoever.

If we win it.

If it came down to a straight choice between a decent run in the Europa thing and a top 4 finish next year, it would be a no-brainer. On the other hand, as a player (and we don't need any more Berbatovs) or as a fan, it would be nice to see some competitive games coming up against some of the good European sides that are going to be in it...
This is the way

Really? Finishing below a side that had their worst 1st half to a season in over 50 years?

Don't think we really want it the Maestro Harry has said as much and most of the talk on the forums now is give it a miss. Would be nice to do something at Anfield though and then draw at home to Brum and give Liverpool it :D

Yes, we have had a really great season, some great nights in CL and some great football played through the season. You would need to be a spurs fan to understand that Baa Baa so don't even try too........ :D

As you don't want it so badly I hope you finish 7th and qualify through the fairplay league where you're currently 2nd behind Chelsea.

Kenny signs a 3 year deal. HERE :)

Onwards and upwards then. 8)

If there's anyone left who requires a measure of Kenny Dalglish's popularity with supporters of Liverpool Football Club, consider this. Had the board unveiled their new permanent manager, and that man was José Mourinho, or perchance Pep Guardiola, the appointment would have been greeted with cries of bitter disappointment, if not a nuclear blast of outright hostility. Roy Hodgson keeps some exalted company.

Dalglish's appointment as permanent manager of Liverpool on a three-year contract was as near to a no-brainer as decisions come. It could only have been Dalglish.

Even for a man who won three titles during his first stint in charge of the club, plus another at Blackburn Rovers, his performance since taking over from the hapless Hodgson in early January has been a revelation.

In stark statistical terms, Liverpool's form since the Second Coming of Kenny makes fine reading for a team that found themselves in the relegation zone during the opening exchanges of the season. Over those 16 Premier League games they are second in the league form table, behind only Chelsea. They have the best goal difference in the division. No team have scored as many goals (they have 35 to Chelsea's 31 and champions-elect Manchester United's 30) while only Chelsea have conceded fewer (though Liverpool have eight clean sheets, the best record in the division, to Chelsea's six). During this period, Liverpool have scored in every single league game, a record no other club can boast.

Well i'm sure you'll all join me and say congratulations to Man utd for clinching the title today. I heard that its the 19th title they've won and thats some sort of record,i'm not too sure but if there's anyone on here who thrives on statistics then maybe they could confirm this. Maybe its the wrong thread but congrats too to Man city for their cup win and champions league qualification. Manchester sure has football wrapped up in the north west of the country.

This thread is about the Premier League (ex League Div 1). Leeds only managed 2nd in 1972.

They did, however win the FA Cup in 1972, but that's another thread.

[Edit] This post was in reply to richard's post above, which he subsequently edited.
