Comparison

Post by PeteC »

Don't want to put this in the Property section as really does not apply. Just looking for a quick benchmark from HH expats what a new single family, 2 bedroom, 1 bath, small living/dining area with really no indoor kitchen...on about 50 Talan'g is costing in HH in this current market? You can picture what I mean, really what I would call a "row" house but not connected to your neighbor, but very close. Pete

PS: To clarify, this is not to compare properties in HH, but to compare your current prices against similar developments along the coast going up between U-Tapao RTNAF and Rayong City. Thanks.

That is a very hard question to answer really, because it is totally dependent on where in Hua Hin it is - my best estimate is that it will range from around 1 million out of the centre up to possibly 4 or 5 million baht if it is in a prime location. However in most areas outside the centre of town/near the beach I would say around 1.5 - 2.5 million baht. I would say it is likely to be more expensive in HH than the area you are talking about though.

Pete,

You can get detached bungalows you describe for between 1.5 and 2m Baht here. Would be about a 10 minute drive from town centre.

Thanks guys. The price where I was looking the other day comes in at 900,000. So, it does appear that the "far" suburbs of Pattaya are still somewhat reasonable. I need to find a small nest for the Mom-in law for her retirement years and this may do the trick. A totally Thai neighborhood where 80% of the new units already sold. Thanks again. Pete
