Sausage stuffer
Sausage stuffer
I have been looking for a mincer with stuffing attachments with little luck. I found some at Makro but they were for commercial use on a large scale. A simple hand mincer would do, or a cheap electric one. I have found them on the net for around 1000 Bt but none of the companies seem to ship here.

This has come up before and the message was that 7-11 have them. They used to put out a catalogue with available items in it, not sure if they still do.crazy88 wrote:I have been looking for a mincer with stuffing attachments with little luck. Re: Sausage stuffer
I'm not sure I know what one looks like exactly, but I think I saw one (the manual hand crank kind) a while ago at one of the shops on Sa Song road near the Chat Chai market. It was either in a shop across the street and a little ways down towards Chomsin or on the same side as the market and close to Chomsin. There are several Thai style kitchen implement stores along there so I'm not sure exactly where I saw it.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Re: Sausage stuffer
It is worth a try there. There is a shop on the corner, looks chinese run, that seems to sell everything. We bought a BBQ there, the type that the stall holders use, 260 baht, it fantastic! I am sure he may sell mincers as the chinese mince a lot of their food.hhfarang wrote:I'm not sure I know what one looks like exactly, but I think I saw one (the manual hand crank kind) a while ago at one of the shops on Sa Song road near the Chat Chai market. I don't know if you intend making sausages, if you are, can you get the casings here?
If not try eBay, but take into consideration the postage. Ask the sell er if they ship to Thailand

Re: Sausage stuffer
I already have a "sausage stuffer" as an attachment to my Kenwood Chef (a fantastic piece of equipment) but like Saini asked, can you get the casings here? I would imaging they are available in most of the markets judging by the "not waste anything" approach? Thanks
Re: Sausage stuffer
My maid gets the casings in the market to make sausage which she stuffs by hand. I want her cleaning the top of the fridge so my investment is a time and motion issue.
Will have a look at the Kenwood.

Re: Sausage stuffer
I just saw a mincer at the "get anything" shop on the klong road but it has no attachments for stuffing sausage, and also no way of attaching anything......just a plain hand cranked mincer. Please keep us updated if you find what you're looking for.

Re: Sausage stuffer
A mate of mine uses a washing up liquid bottle as a sausage stuffer, a little odd but it seems to work ok. He buys his cases in Makro.
He doesn't live in Hua Hin, but "up north".

I am reminded of a famous quote
There are two things that children should not watch. How sausages are made and how the laws of the country are made. Both processes will disgust them.

That poor bugger's going to order half a dozen mincers thinking he's on to a right little earner, and won't be able to shift em for years... Na song san!
