correct on 2 and 3..... Bader and Richthoven....who were what?

Take that and spend a while on Wiki and you should find bingo barnstormer No1,a nd the answer to Q2

Then the fun begins as to answers to Q 3

Longest list of odd man out answers wins a donut.

Immelamnn always seemed to love his moustache
so i now think No. 1 is its Oswald Boelke
Anyway Ace 2 Bader died by heart attack nearly 40 years after WW2 and wrote of his experencesin a best selling book
Aces 1 and 3 died in aitcraft in WW1

Jimbob, I seem to go with your first choice as Boelke doesn't have a cleft chin whereas Immelmann did (although the pics I see don't look like the photo).

Also the other difference...Aces 1 and 3 had legs going into their war, Dogsbody didn't!

apologies Nereus,
I remember posting 'Excellent etc' but often my works PC and its funny security systems crashes as I post.
Anyway Clausewitz was quite an analyst introducing the term 'fog of War' and pointing out the problem over trusting miltary intellegence.

Oh dear yes well done :D I think too easy :P
Will think of something harder :naughty:

Bacchus (1497) is a marble sculpture by the Italian High Renaissance sculptor, painter, architect and poet Michelangelo
