No, no, its a fact - I don't do conspiracy theories (apart from Fergie, penalties & Old Trafford)!Korkenzieher wrote:Ah, Conspiracy Theory #275 of 3756 currently active conspiracy theories...

I think your 'signature' says it all then
I have a conspiracy theory of my own.
Some time in the early '80s, a Neo-facist, zionist funded NASA splinter group in the US, operating under orders from the Bush family and supported by 'big oil' interests, discovered how to reverse evolution while the apparent continuity of forward time was preserved.
This resulted in sudden rises in the Neanderthal Coefficient. Conceptually, the mean reversion of mankind to some sort of Monkey like intermediary had previously been based on the (obviously fatally flawed) notion that politically correct education policies motivated by the climate change agenda, had been deliberately designed to make humans impact the planet in a more 'natural' or 'ape like' fashion.
Climatologists said the speculation was 'so much hot air' but didn't deny that the new funding avenues that might open up as a consequence were attractive, given growing scepticism over some of their other schemes lately. Professor Ivananova Grant said 'hopefully this time we can trust East Anglia to lock down their e-mail servers a bit better'.
Meanwhile, in breaking hews Harriet Harman at Trotsky Party headquarters released a communique, highlighting the problem and stating that although she 'didn't understand' the problem, she was sure it was 'caused by a man, somewhere'. Foaming slightly at the mouth, she continued; 'No progressive political alignment with proper national level representation and involvement of women and the unions, would ever allow such a heinous crime against humanity'.

Re: When was your first visit to Hua Hin?
Early 2000 - golfing trip with a couple of mates. Stayed at the Sofitel - had a few baht to my name then
Lived in HH from 2001 to end of 2004, got married (as you do) during that time then had to go back to the UK to earn some more moula - wife and kids are quite expensive I've found.
Coming back with the wife and kids this summer - for good this time!

johnnymac, I managed to be the champ about a year after you had left for GB.
I'll definately try to make it and have a few games of darts and pool with you and down a few beers, too. Used to be the game our team was always looking forward to: Bamboo Grove vs Billy's Bar. Say hello to Dougie when you see him.

Been traveling Thailand for many years.
Tired of Pattaya, Phuket Samui etc. Tried Changmai and Changrai.
Came back to HH in 2005 and again later in the year.
Purchased house in 2010 and love the laid back attitude of the place.

Jose
Sounds like you have found a specific reason to return at such frequent intervals - be careful but let's hope it has a happy ending, like mine did - I married my Thai wife last year!!
