Good manager, but will he be able to cope with the older players that are there. Seeing as they will be managed by someone younger/same age than them, they may not like it?!? The likes of Drogba, Lampard Anelka etc.
Will be very interesting

To be honest I think the guys in the Chelsea dressing room respect anyone that comes and gives management a shot at Chelsea knowing that without a perfect season, not only is he out, his reputation is left in tatters from being FIRED from a job. I wouldn't of thought that the 'ego' thing will come into play at all in the Chelsea dressing room where they have known each other for many years.

Man City.. Well that's another story which I don't wan't to waste my time on.
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!

John Terry, Ashley Cole, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard are the embodiment of ego imho.

He should easily get into the side as they'll be lucky to put a starting 11 together if all the rumours are true.

Certainly looks like Fabregas and Nasri are off.

What's the final date when all transfers have to be completed? Pete

Slight exaggeration  but looks possible that those 2 could be on their way, as well as clichy :|

The fact that all 3 have been key players in a team that's won nothing for 6 years kind of tells it's own story :|
I'm sure there will be replacements brought in

Real quality as well, so it seems!

If the clubs with whose players Arsenal have been linked are to be believed, there has not been an abundance of calls. Everton have received no expressions of interest in their players, which suggests no moves for Baines and Jagielka. There is a feeling that the widely advertised Arsenal "interest" in Samba is not being driven by either club. Sources close to Valencia's Mata have disclosed no Arsenal interest, either. Southampton manager Nigel Adkins yesterday denied suggestions Arsenal had tabled an offer for Chamberlain, though Arsenal are believed to be in pole position for his signature despite the interest of a host of clubs.

In general, unlike many other clubs, Arsenal prefer to do their transfer dealings in private. Most of the publicity regarding Arsenal`s targets come from a gobby player or his agent. It is a sad reflection on some English clubs that when a quality player, such as Nasri, MAY become available they swarm like bees to a honeypot waving their overinflated chequebooks.

Frustration reigns on the gooner blogs with all the speculation :?

I think the tabloids make up half the stuff concerning transfers, which kind of answers the second part of your post  :D

IF!! Fab & Nasri do go, of course they will be replaced.
With who, remains to be seen
