That's interesting. Indonesia being predominantly Muslim I would have thought difficult to find. Perhaps Bali has a large Chinese enclave. Pete :cheers:

The religion of the island of Bali is basically Hindu/Buddhism.... And Babi (pork) appears everywhere.

Actually, Bali is predominantly Hindu, not Muslim.

We fully intend to, Anyone else heading this way bring dollars or use your atm as Bt is 25% less than x-rates or what you get from drawing direct in the places I have seen so far. There again I have "Tourist" written all over me as I do not speak more than a few words of Bahasa.

It is debatable if some of the pigs used in Bali are actually "suckling pigs". They also prepare and serve it in an entirely different manner to the Chinese suckling pig.

Many years since I was in Bali, but I do not recall seeing any served in the Chinese way.

... thought I already posted this but don't see it ...

Only pig centric restaurants I've seen are in the Philippines. The pig finishes roasting at dinner time, if you come at lunch time you get day old pig. Cha Am restaurants work the same way?
