Yep, 3 points dropped, more ground lost on the league leaders. Kenny out!

Some of our senior players like Reina, Gerrard, Lucas, Suarez, Johnson and Agger were very disappointing.

You will get 30m allowing 'Arry to spend the money on yet another defensive crock.
35M + Sturridge.

Let's see if he gets on the plane tommorow to S.A.
Well he did get on the plane but Chelski may be getting closer :D

Chelsea are poised to test Tottenham's resolve to keep Luka Modric by offering £27m and 21-year-old striker Daniel Sturridge for the Croatian playmaker.

I suspect that if Man City win anything this year they will get no respect because of the money they have spent. The same thing happened with Chelsea, and successive managers still bitched that they hadn`t been able to buy the right players.

And I suspect that if they win something big, they won't give a toss.
This is the way

Sounds like you're getting your excuses in early this year! :thumb:

Not at all. For the last 10 years at least the "experts" have predicted that Arsenal will not be in the top 4. As a pessimist where Arsenal are concerned I am always pleasantly surprised when these "experts" get it so wrong. This year? Who knows what will happen.

Well Spurs have been creeping up quietly for a few years now while Arsenal have been getting worse - and embarrasing. Would much rather be in our position than Arsenal's.....

Anyways next seasons top 4 doesn't include us either(but we're used to that)

1: Chelsea
2: United
3: Liverpool
4: Man City School of Boys for the Rich and Arrogant

But..... don't worry. Wenger will sign some wonder kid for 12 quid who will come good in the 2016-1017 season.

.
.
.
.
Oh and 5: Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal: 7th

I guess most Arsenal fans have taken on that policy over the last few years.

I think you are underestimating Citeh there GLC.

They've just signed Aguero. He's obviously no Suarez, but.............. he's class.

I'm reasonably happy with our recent business, especially in January and think we'll be in the mix for top 4.

Should be a good'un!

It just makes me wonder, this Aguero signing, doesn't Cesc ever think how much more less capable players than him are being paid in their transfer fees than the £28 million pounds that Farcelona are offering for him? Doesn't it really bother him that the club he wants to play for, doesn't really value him that much. They sign players for much more and so do other clubs. Who are the wiser party, Cesc or Farcelona in this deal, yet to materialize? Remember this comes from an Arsenal fan, who'd like Cesc to stay.

Aguero is not on any planet less capable than Fabregas. He's a forward and a better player.

Liverpool bought Suarez for £24 mill who has just won the player of the Copa America as well as the cup itself. I think he's got the ability to be included in the top top bracket. Better than Rooney and co.

The market is distorted but is Cesc in the top 10 in the world? Xabi Alonso went for 30 and he starts before Cesc for Spain.

That's a good point, BaaBaa. If Cesc isn't in the top 10, why go to Barca? I know it's a bit of a case of sour grapes as I've been following his career since he came to Arsenal at the age of 16. Now I feel, if he really wants to go to Farcelona, so be it. It's better for him and for us but it's still no reason to undervalue him and that's the game what Barcelona are playing now. They know his desire to get back and thus want to pay less than is his value.

You will know what I mean if you think about Gerard, he's Liverpool through and through and I really appreciate him for that. I thought, for some years ago, that Cesc would be Arsenal, now I know he isn't. Well, maybe Wilshere or Ramsey will fill that void for me in the future. :(

It just seems that the footballing world has changed from being true to your team and trying to make it win because you play there to I want to be in the team that wins and nothing else matters. Sad, I think but so be it but I'll raise me cup for those who still think the old way and that's why I brought Gerrard up here. end of rant.

Could have mentioned Scholes and Giggs here as well, but I didn't want to.

Or John Terry - but that would probably make you want to vomit!

Great story of him going up to OT as a kid and getting a guided tour from Sir Alex, but then saying, 'no thanks'! Especially considering the Chelsea as was then, though good, that used an extension of a Heathrow runway as a training ground and the Bridge was a shadow of what it now is! :thumb:
