Butchers

Post by siamgrace »

Hi

I’m looking for peoples recommendations on any decent Butchers in town for sausages and burgers.

Would appreciate any feedback from local expats that like a good burger and sausage.

Soi 41: clearly marked on http://www.maphuahin.com - scroll down the list of shops until you see HHHB, click it and the map will popup the location.

Yes, follow the link provided if you want a real butcher. I get all out meat from the markets, but then I never was a big fan of pork sausages, and over the years living here, I've gone off burgers as well.

I wouldn't mind a nice T-bone steak from time to time, or any type of chop for that matter, but the Thai meat sellers only seem to sell meat off the bone, and I'm not really keen on imported meat.

Anyway, for you, the link provided is perfect

Also, I recommend you visit the Swiss butcher on Soi 102. It's a side soi on you left side, after the railway crossing. A variety of home made sausages, ham, tender - yes TENDER - steaks, patè, and more, all delicious and home made at affordable prices. On Sundays he features a delicious brunch buffet. Try it.

Sorry but I just can't agree that HH Ham & Bacon make great sausages. We tried their Lincolnshire sausage last week and can safely say it is one of the worst sausages I have ever tasted, Grainy & massively over salted. A neighbour also tried a different type of sausage and they also said it was terrible. We won't be buying sausages there again and will be throwing out the rest of the pack.

Go get some sausages from Naab Thong. The sell them to go and they are very good.

I wonder if they'd be willing to make up some sausage for me if I mixed everything myself and then took it around to be put into casings?

Maybe a visit up that way will be on the cards soon....lol.
