Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum, actually any forum, so if I make any mistakes, just let me know.

My wife and I live in the UK and have visited HH area a couple of times, have friends living there and will be visiting again soon.

We are considering buying/renting a property as a holiday home so that we can visit more often and in the long term use as a retirement home.

Any comments or information would be gratefully received.

Welcome to the forum........lots of good stuff on here with folks that have resided in Thailand a long time with good advice about all things without most of the drivel you often get on other forums as trolling psychos are prohibited in general here. If you want to know anything about HH or other parts of Thailand then ask away and start a thread in the corresponding section for that subject.

Property can be a sensitive/controversial topic here for many reasons, despite the surface serenity of the image presented. Have a look through some of the past threads in the forum.
