Yeah...I think I will humbly present myself to HH Imm and throw myself at their mercy

When I moved to HH earlier this year (from Jomtien), I reported my new address -- and the Immigration officer thanked me for coming in voluntarily. I didn't ask how one might come INvoluntarily...

Be mindful that reporting your new address, i.e. notifying that you've moved into their area of jurisdiction, does NOT change the 90-day reporting date.

20k or 2k?

2,000 baht is the standard fine - 20k is theft!

20000. When I got the text I thought that there was one to many '0's too. But no. 20000! The person has a work permit and has never been late before.

But I think that there could be an extra 500 THB a day over and above the 2,000. I'm sure it used to be printed on the old report forms.
Dosn't say it on the one I've got now, but I'm pretty sure of that.
Maybe the person mentioned was way over the reporting date, bearing in mind you've got 7 days grace?

I've just got a new reporting date and on the slip it's clearly stamped " The fine of overdue notification is not exceeding 5,000 Baht".

Searched the thread but no info re my intended question.

Question? My 90 day report date is 2/1/2012. How soon before that date can I report?

I have a busy schedule for the back end of December and want it out of the way if possible before Christmas

Help please

As far as I'm aware - from 7 days before to 7 days after.

Also remember that 31 Dec and 1 Jan are public holidays here.
This time round they fall on a Saturday and Sunday so remember that Immigration will therefore be closed on 2 and 3 Jan on account of days in lieu

Before Christmas is out of the equation - 7 days either way, as Barry said. Busy schedule - all these lunches, eh? Perhaps things will calm down after the New Year!
This is the way
