Main frustration is the way I am treat as a woman over 40(quite a lot!) I hold down a responsible job, keep a home here and in Europe but am view as someone to smile sweetly to, then speak to the man.
Driving here is a daily challenge but constantly enraged by just how slow the majority of bike drivers on soi 88 drive. Given my age, I am not a speed merchant but slow can also be dangerous. I know they have to put on there makeup, answer the phone and sightsee but being aware of other traffic could be important.
Third moan is way the cometics are sampled in every store. Easly to trip over the shop assistants crouched down putting on their last layer of mascara before putting it back on the shelf for some unsuspecting person to buy.

 That's a new one and a good one! Welcome to your new job at ABC Store, one of your employment perks is access to all of the makeup in your department for personal use, as long as you can still sell it without customers knowing or complaining. :thumb: Pete

'Official bollox' and bureaucracy that seems to be invented purely to waste your time is the only thing that gets my goat now and then these days, the driving standards and other day to day stuff you get used to.

Good point Lizzy and I must admit something that has never crossed my mind! Probably because the time spent applying makeup, squeezing zits, plucking armpits etc is just a way of female Thai life that I've accepted for years (and admired them for their attention to detail as well.) But I can't honestly say that it would put me off buying makeup in the Mall etc again - I think you become immune to things like that after a while anyway.
The best test of when immunity stage has been reached is when you debate whether to wash the fruit from the market in tap water - or not bother to wash it at all!
