Hi

Post by sidban »

Hi
We are a group of guys who has been to Thailand once previously and now coming to hua hin for a short vacation.

Would love to know different attractions there?

Have general questions like:
- how easy to get bike on rent there?
- what are the places we can visit on a bike in and around the place?
- what are the good options for night life?
- good massage parlors/spa recommendations?

Thanks.

Thanks Big boy,

I would appreciate if I can get more pointed info.

I have heard a lot about pattaya and also came to know that hua hin is quite different and sort of opposite when it comes to night life. So wanted to know if there are any Girly bars options available there? Along with some massage++ options?

You will need to achieve 10 posts before you can access some of the detailed information you require - so get posting  However, have a look around this forum, where a lot of information can still be found.

IMHO Hua Hin is a lot more laid back than the likes of Pattaya, and definitely not as in your face. The things most red blooded guys will be looking for are available in copious amounts. I think the only thing that you don't find in Hua Hin are go-go bars.

While on the subject of maps, in the first link I gave you, there's a further link to the Hua Hin Photo Map. It allows you to wander around Hua Hin looking at the bars etc.

Thanks prcscct, that was a good map.

Thanks big boy, I am going through the site you sent to me. Indeed it has some really good info and I am already interested in 2-3 places mentioned there for a tour.

Looks like Pala-U and Koh Talu trips can be good options for two day trips. Any suggestion for travel guide over there?
Thanks.

Pala-U is a one day trip I think (best to start early). I'm not even sure they have lodging up there for overnight. Maybe you can camp in the park with a permit but I'm not sure of that. The best tour guide for that trip for a group of guys would probably be a few of the girls from the bars downtown...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Be even better to find out if the girls have bikes (I think most do). That might save you the cost of renting (the bike) :naughty: , but you'll eventually end up paying in some other way...

Guys thanks! I am totally new about what you suggested. Seems to be an interesting idea. Lets see if we can really implement that :D.

An interresting and funny alternative is Kaeng Krachan National Park in Petchaburi. If you Google in picture mode you'll find plenty of fascinating spots to visit and things to do, play around in the white water, etc. They also have exotic accomodations in secluded "jungle"cabins.

Sure, I'll keep that mind.

I am planning to have a day for safari stuff and one for marine life (snorkeling at some island nearby).

That would be Koh Tao, the nearest place with decent snorkeling I think... that would be at least an overnight trip, probably better two nights minimum.
