Well, certainly a few on there I like, Satay, BBQ Pork, Thai curries etc., but a couple that shouldn't be in the top thousand IMHO...... after working in Korea for a while, I have nightmares over Kimchi!!

As for the Top 10.... come on, no Lava Bread, no Welsh Rarebit - you're having a giraffe

Actually the number one, beef rendang is very good although I'm not a big meat-eater so it wouldn't be my first choice. In Indonesia I used to like Nasi Campur which is a plate of rice topped with many small portions of various side dishes.
In Thailand I generally tend to go for Som Tam Thai followed by Tom Yum Pla with a plate of sauteed vegetables and rice which has the advantage of being healthy as well as tasty.
Coconut based curries are excellent but a bit too rich to eat all the time.

Whatever happened to mince and tatties.....

Sushi ........wouldn't eat it if you paid me. Also there are just so many dishes you don't get to see as a tourist, some of which knock the socks off those appearing on menus.

About 30 of those are in my personal favorites list... are there any Indonesian restaurants in Hua Hin? I'd like to try that #1 beef dish. Interesting that the top ten (and a lot of the other 40) are Asian.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

So Pad Thai is in the top 5 dishes on the planet? Thais can't live without it?

I've never seen anybody order it, it's not in the top 10 most popular dishes in Thailand.

And som tam number 6?

Well it was a readers poll so that is what people voted for and if you think about it, Asians are all fanatical about their own cuisine and will have voted for that whereas Westeners will try different things. There are over two hundred million Indonesians so it's hardly surprising that Indonesian food made the top spots.
Pad Thai is ordered everyday at thousands of food stalls all over Thailand and Som Tum can be made anywhere after a walk in the forest. In my partners village they never stop making the stuff as it's practically free.

Nonya Laksa in Singapore, or Pho Bo Vietnam. Not many things better.

The Phad Thai thing is odd - Thai restaurants offer it, assuming you know no better, but I don't know that I have ever seen a Thai eating it.

Pad Thai isn't eaten in restaurants, it's a cheap dish bought from noodle stalls and in provincial towns I've seen them packed full of Thais eating nothing else.
My partner cooks it at home as well.

It's also one of the most popular Thai dishes outside Thailand, at least in the U.S.. My wife worked in several Thai restaurants in both California and Florida and that was probably the dish most often ordered, at least in the top three, according to her.

Also, I haven't found a good pad Thai in Hua Hin (other than the missus'). For some reason they drown it in sugar here and it's way too sweet. The pad Thai I've had in the north or outside Thailand is not sweet at all.

I use the word 'restaurant' rather loosely - any old eating place.

I certainly find it available a lot less than I previously did - say in the 90's. I don't get out into the provinces really, to see a difference from HH so can't compare. Obviously experiences vary, and it may just be that my subset of eateries have been subconsciously chosen to avoid it, but I can honestly say I don't see it being eaten around HH particularly, or in BKK that much. Nor was it particualrly obvious in Udon in comparison to noodle soups of one form or another (usually with waaay too much blood tofu in it!) or duck / chicken / pork & rice.
