Tile around the house

Post by kika01 »

We like to have tiles all a round to our house, about 30 - 35 centimetre from ground. We calculeted that we need 35 square meter tiles.
Does anyome knows home much tiles cost per square meter, nothing special. Can anyome recommend any shop where to buy tiles?

boonthavon (sic) along phetkasem road, left hand side heading north, near the museum. there is another just past the airport, tiles range from 200baht - xxxx per sqm.

just get non-slip ones.
laying them will cost approx 250 baht per sqm, materials not included.
if you want to raise them by 300mm then you will need to put a slab down first.

1600 baht per cubic meter for concrete, 800 baht for steel reinforcing mesh.
sand - 400 baht per cubic meter
cement 115 per bag

you work it out

The cheapest tiles south of Cha-Am and north of Pranburi,
together with possibly the largest selection of various colours/styles styles,
I found at the tile shop directly opposite the soi 6.
Prices varied from 90 THB/sqm to well over 500 THB/sqm.
What cost in HomePro 159 THB/sqm and in couple of other shops abt.
139 THB/sqm I bought at soi 6 shop for 129 THB/sqm.

As mentioned Boothavorn have a great selection of quality tiles, though not the cheapest.

Forget Home Pro, they have an entire department dedicated to tiles but absolutely nothing is available, you'll just get a chorus of "mai mee".

You're not the only one. I thought s/he wanted to lay a row of tiles on the ground surrounding the house, whereas now I think s/he wants them actually on the walls, no?
