MC, a view is something to look at, mountains, leaning tower of pisa, etc.
having windows does not ensure a view, it ensures light.

look closely at the design and you will see that there is a 500mm gap at the top of the tiled wall, this is effective on 2 sides, giving over 6sqm of light into the room.more than most bedrooms.

light streaming into the room through this 'window' gives the effect of the ceiling actually floating.(not supported). much nicer than most views maybe.

Pharvey, yes you are correct about the glas effect, so it has been kept as minimal as possible, ventilation is via a large sliding glass door which also acts as entry to the pool area.

ill post another image today to show the room inside, looking from the bed. :)

I quite like the concept.

Personally I would not have it as a pool but a Koi pond with a natural looking waterfall feature on the wall with airplants and orchids etc going into a glass fish tank which then overspills into the main pond via a hidden pipe so you don,t feel like a gypsies when you are trying to get your nut down. Intelligent lighting . Door in the glass would need to be off centre to the foot of the bed so you could feed the fish without getting wet or spoiling the view. Saw a smaller version in Bangkok with chameleons crawling about on it and wanted to get one installed in my living room but with 3 cats not an option. Sort of a combination between these which would be great to sit my office desk in front of.

It's a bold concept and would be good for a luxury rental villa or something like that but I would struggle to actually live in a room like that as just putting a TV in there would spoil the look (and you'd have to mount it on glass).
Something less extreme with a water feature as mentioned above would perhaps be a bit more practical.

my original idea was to have water cascading down the tiles into the pool, but maintainance stopped that idea.
but quiet honestly anything is possible in that area, as crazy says a water feature would also be great,(maintainace again) it would obviously depend on personal requirements.

as for tv...well thats a minor issue, retractable projector or tv, tv on stand at foot of bed.
so many options.

I presume you're offering this as one of a number of design options and will find out how popular it is?
I mean, rather than building it and putting it up for sale.
I'll be interested to hear how many have selected it in 5 years time.

presumably you would need the standard pool cleaning as well. Not sure i would want the average pool cleaners traising around the bedroom with all the cleaning equipment, acid, bags of salt etc....

And presumably you would need a pump house close (ish) for daily filtering etc.

Interésting idea, but not for me !

Still not convinced I'm afraid - I'd be wanting to wee all night with that water around! And where do the wardrobes go?

hahaha ok MC i know it not everyones cuppa tea. But i bet a few viewers woke up this morning imagining what it would look like.
letting people know that there are other options and ideas available is important, the design is a one off. not for mass production, but its also there to invoke thought and discussion, (which it has).
People may now be thinking more about what can be designed and built here on their own plot of land.
which must be a good thing.
