The headless Footballer
The headless Footballer
So, yesterday, my wife's son is at the temple kicking a ball around with his friends. One of the temple workers notices that he has no head. Alarmed, he goes directly to my wife's father and tells him about what he has seen - or in this case - failed to see: a head on his grandson's shoulders. Evidently, this bodes badly, for in Thai lore, this is a sure sign of impending death. Now my wife is freaked out. Has anyone heard of this cultural curiosity? Any elucidation would be much appreciated. Matt.

Wow.. no head eh!
I'm not sure of the amount of Lao Kao the guy in question must have consumed but good golly it must be a lot.
On a more serious note... I have never heard of anything like this but I hope it passes over and the wife can be at peace.

Being the cynic...maybe it is a good way of draining money from your missus...i.e. making a donation to the temple and all will be well!!!!.........just a thought..

Yes, I too shared that very same thought. Child was taken to the temple for some high-level consultation. The advice dispensed: "Be careful for the next while." No money has changed hands thus far.
