I think Banyan has been open for over two years now.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Stay away from Majestic until the greens get sorted out. Very disappointing.

I love this thread. It is very helpful. Once I am in HH I will surely do all I can to contribute.

I went back to the UK in December last year and was so disappointed with the condition of Lake View (A & B) that I asked a friend to sell my membership in my absence. I returned in June and couldn't believe the difference. It's not up to Banyan, Black Mountain standard (and probably never will be), but the A & B course is definately 'playable' and getting better each time I play it. Fortunately, he couldn't sell my membership.

That's interesting and good news. I've been giving it a miss since last year. A&B are a great layout.

Banyan....you could stay at Greenfield Fishing Lodge which is about 5kms away.

You are out of luck as the next courses south are in Koh Samui and Phuket, although I believe there is a nine hole within hotel grounds 1 to 2 hours south but it is not rated in the golf guide books and I have no other information

Nothing much to the south at all, I played the Air Force course in Ao manao (1 hr away) 160 baht and it was pretty rough, played with some great fun guys so it was a laugh anyway!
Golf really hasnt gone south yet, one course on Samui which I would say to play once and once only and one in Surat Thani, I believe that its pretty rough also. Then u have Phuket, bloody expensive and likely to be packed after the floods in BKK.

There is plenty of golf in Kanchanburi/Ratchaburi. :thumb:
