Looks like they have been jailed and fined, with them being told they'll have to serve at least half their sentence in jail, specifically Wandsworth and Feltham prisons.
It'll be interesting to see/hear how it goes down in Pakistan where they are major superstars. Looks like they have been made an example of, which is hardly surprising given the publicity with this case.
I do like what the judge said in his sentencing delivery........."It's not cricket!"
So the cheating b@st@rds are imprisoned in the UK at the cost of the British taxpayer rather than being sent back to Pakistan where no doubt they'd actually get what they deserve........

Not sure about that one, SF.
If I was in their shoes, I reckon that a cell somewhere other than Pakistan would be preferable right now.
There's too much money involved and if I remember rightly a former Pakistani player gave evidence one time on the promise that he would be protected.
If there's any doubt that these players have spilled the beans (and one certainly has) I don't think that they'd last long back in their home country.
Probably so Mr L, but for them to get caught, it has to happen in a country such as the UK for it to come to light...just my opinion, but I doubt if it (this whole situation) would have come to light if was 'hatched' and put into practice in Asia someplace.
I doubt the newspapers are so brazen and target such types in those parts of the world.
