This was emailed to me today from our newest member, blonk11, who has made a number of derogatory comments towards our site and its contents:

"The Bar is: flamingo bar
Review: After checking out the bar list from this wonderful website I decided to check out the top bars according to to the list so the bar at number 6 is called the flamingo bar you really have to see it from a close range otherwise it may be a little hard to see unless you have great eyesite what a dirty tiny looking shithole a reflection of this shit site.

Not sure about the bar itself - wouldn't be my cup of tea - but by the sound of it our new member didn't even go in !! By the way, did he say "eyesite", "eyeshite" or "eyesight" - and is he still a member ??

I belong to a few US military veteran groups and there is only 1 rule....don't attack another member. We figured we didn't need a rule about not attacking the group itself as a whole as why would someone be so stupid to join a group then post things like the rubbish this guy posts? IMHO, boot him. Please note that I have no particular association with the Flamingo Bar or its owner.

Sorry that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Blonk11, as far as I know, and nor have I seen any of his posts on the board.

The Flamingo bar is fairly small (then again so are many of the others).

Whilst I am not an expert on Hua Hin bars, the Flamingo is one bar that I visited on more than one occasion (with my wife).

Alan and May were great, as were all the girls. Additionally my wife was at ease in this bar and was treated with great courtesy by all.

If Steve (I believe that is his name) wishes to provide a constructive review of this bar (and as he is obviously obsessed by all things anal), he may also wish to comment that the Washroom / Restroom in the Flamingo is scrupulouly clean with bags of space.

I appreciate that everyone's views differ, but must urge everyone to go to the Flamingo, meet the people, enjoy the hospitality and judge for themselves.

I think the Flamingo, though small, is a very good all round bar. Price, friendliness, ambience, cleanliness are excellent.

Well, as an ex bar owner in hh, I will make the following comments.

1/. Your bar is as good as you make it.
2/. No one day is the same. Every opinion is personal and based on that moment.
3/. Soi Bintabart area changed a long time ago, from a few large bars, to many small ones.
4/. In my day, everyone stuck together and passed information around re regulations, customers etc
5/. It seems that everyone is getting too worried about their own personal situation, rather than "working for the common good".

I think it would be good to delete this thread.
Alan and May are a lovely couple,who always give the same warm greeting no matter how often you go into their bar,the staff are also very friendly.
I think about a year ago Alan's grandaughter posted here,wanting to know about the bar etc,so she must read this site,i think that if she saw this,she would be deeply hurt,and so would Alan and May.
I think everyone is entitled to their opinion,and criticism,but this is not constructive,the letter was just outrite abusive rubbish,please delete it,and send it to where it belongs.

Well, I haven't met "Blonk11" either, and would not wish to. The Flamingo is a small bar, but the "dirty" references certainly do not apply, and all the staff were friendly and polite the many times I have visited.
I vote that Blonk be tossed as well !! Constructive criticism is one thing, but these comments add nothing......

I'm leaving the thread to show how arrogant and simple minded some people can be. My experiment worked ... read the responses. That wasnt the only bar he had bad words about, it was just his most recent email.

Oh and by the way I havent had an email from him since ... reckon he got the picture ?

I am sorry if I offended anyone here with that review,I only wrote that because I came to Hua Hin early on in the year I checked out the bar list and found it to be way out,also the bar review page read like advisements not reviews,so it was kind of a protest,I love Hua Hin and plan on returning in a couple of Months.
