Honest information of real estate agent

This message is just to warn buyers of a home in Hua Hin. I already have a house and rent it out sometimes. Some one else in my project on Soi 102 wants to sell his house. The property agent [Names edited] near the Hilton Hotel is using a picture of my house to sell the other house. This picture is the first shown on his page.
The houses are not identical. Pool shape, size and loction on the plot are different. Even the houses are different.
My rental customers are not coming back because they are afraid the house will be sold. So this agent is hurting my business.
I have emailed them twice to remove this picture. No response what so ever. I know business is slow but in this way you will loose customers.
For the record I can provide the advert number.

I cannot only provide the advert number, but also more pictures of my house and a copy of my blue book. So no slander here. I'm telling the truth.

Welcome to real estate business in Hua Hin. There have been many crooks pass through here as builders, developers, or agents/agency owners in the last several years while Hua Hin has boomed. Some, thankfully have gone out of business, moved on, or been prosecuted or are in the process of that. Unfortunately, many are still alive and doing well in the area. When they fold up shop with one name in one location they just move and take on a new name and keep cheating people out of their hard earned money at another location. I also cannot sell my property mainly because of what one of the most unscrupulous developers did to my neighborhood.

I hope you can get this company to stop their deception. These types of people have given Hua Hin a very bad name in the property market and continue to do so.

Jeeny, if the information I've read in other forums is credible, libel/slander laws in Thailand can be applied even if the accusation is true.

The real estate agent has removed the picture after receiving a few phone calls. What a message on this forum can accomplish in a few hours cannot be accomplished with several emails and friendly requests. So thank you editor.

Message from The Real Estate Office in Question to the Poster: I noticed your email sent on Friday and had on my list to remove the picture today, we are in fact not experiencing a slow period and are constantly rushed off our feet but I am sorry for the delay. I am also sorry if we failed to action your request from your previous email.
The mistake of using a different picture is purely an error when listing, it is not our intention to want to use the wrong picture to sell a house as this does us no favors if we were to take a client to the house and he immediately sees the difference.

If you are to look at your posting on Hua Hin After Dark which several people have called us about and then see the subsequent messages, you can see that the editor is correct in offering a warning, as it looks like we are being accused of cheating or doing something dishonest which I hope you agree we are not in anyway, just trying to do our day to day job.

I have now removed the picture, I have tried to get hold of the owner of the actual house we are selling to confirm if the picture of the front of the house is correct, can you confirm this also.?

Someone got something wrong on an internet listing. Must be criminals I can confirm that real estate, especially right now on the rental side has everyone in the industry rushed off their feet. Fair play to whomever the company is they have responded and reacted swiftly in a professional manner. The loss of credibility would be the agents loss which they would not want in any business.

Purely an error using the wrong picture ... bullshit ... many real estate agents do this all the time.

Last year we were looking to buy a finished house in Hua Hin. Choose two properties at Laguna, soi 102. The online adds of two agents showed finished houses with pools. We contacted both agents to see those properties. Both agents, have driven us to Laguna and showed us unfinished lots instead. None were able to show us the houses they had advertised. Even pricing was totally off.

Only the third agent we choose, [Mod Edit - no names please] and his daughter showed us exactly the properties they had advertised and they were truly informed about those properties.
