Building a car port, cost estimation
Building a car port, cost estimation
Need a very basic car port with a small adjacent room to store the motorbikes, just a concrete slab with a steel roof and basic roof tiles will suffice, size approx 8x4 meters. Any idea on an approx cost of materials and labour? (Then I'll know if the quote I've had is taking the slash).

I had one made to match the house (roof tiles and all plastered in with lights) 2 years ago that was a bit smaller though and cost around 80,000 baht. I would think you could get the cover and storage room for under 100,000 baht. Will probably have to search to get a good Thai builder to get that price though.

Buks..I was in a similar situation when I needed a basic steel-framed roof over my balcony.
I got a couple builder-men in for quotes..30-40 grand they wanted..mmm??
Later went to the large builders-yard on ya right as ya go up the Pala-U Rd (just b4 the hardware shop wiv wheelbarrows outside)..with me I had a good drawing I'd done, plus all dimensions for the steel+roof-sheets.
The lady behind the counter quoted me 10K for the materials, plus 10K to have a team come do the work.
2 days later & they came, did good job & I got my 25 sq M balcony in the shade.

Re: Building a car port, cost estimation
80k max in my experience including adjacent room. This is for rendered columns conwood ceiling and concrete tiles. Labour only 22k for carport I am presently building 3 x 4.5m.
Steel roof and no foundations will be considerably cheaper.

im in the process of having one built at the moment ,but im getting it built in the north,
so far ive only got the base and columns done waiting until i go back to get roof and room built
it 11 meters by 4 meters also includes a room 4x4 for storage
cost so far 20000 baht for ground clearing floor inc steel ,concrete ,8 concrete columns
roof the normal sheeting at 52 baht a sheet 130 needed so thats roughly 8000 baht fitted
windows and door 7000 baht ,block work 16000 baht
only thing ive not sorted/priced is the steel for the roof ,

Cheers for the comments, the quote was around 70k so not too far off - I will look into sourcing the material myself though, they want 25k for labour.
