electronic switch

Post by MXcross »

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a replacement Piezo electronic ingnition switch (double electrode) from locally in Hua Hin?
It's the kind used on most gas mobile cookers/ Gas Barbeques, that do not need mains electricity supply.
If anyone's seen them in a shop somewhere please let me know, as even after showing and explaining to shop assistants here they still don't understand and try to sell me a kettle.
Thanks in advance..
You may do it faster! But I do it better!

If you bought the oven locally, get the local agent to get it done. You certainly won't get an off-the-shelf item like that. Otherwise, get a refillable long-nosed gas lighter, about twenty baht or so, and use that instead. They do sell the long nosed piezo igniters as I've seen them somewhere, but the gas lighter does it for me.

Welcome to Thailand...............

Try the shop on the corner, very close to the Level Crossing at G Supermarket.

They sell gas cookers + electrical stuff and there is a Thai guy in there that will try and help - better if you can speak Thai or have someone with you who can.

Thanks very much Terry will give them a try after the school run.
It's not going to be used on a cooker it's for a little fishing project, I have made one of what I want but the wife wants her sparker back!! (Indian giver!!)
So I am trying to source a new one for myself and she can have the one I've knackered-up back!!
Cheers...
