Service for Honda Tact 50cc

Post by Gin tonic - no lime »

Anyone had to have their Honda Tact 50 serviced? Not a Thai made model, so parts might be a problem!!! Would appreciate any guidance.

Looks like this.... there are many circulating around HH, the more recent model is called a "Dio"

Cheers

Another board member suggested the Honda dealer down just by Mkt. Village think I will give them a try, as I have not had much luck with the big Honda dealer north of Chomsin on the East side.

Thanks

GT have you had any luck with that Honda Dealer?

I have a Honda Zoomer, which is a Japan import not usually sold here in Thailand. It badly needs a service. It used to drive 55kmh, now it's down to 40kmh. I did a little research on the net. In addition to the service with parts (new spark, filters, oil, cooling water) it probably needs a reset of the controller which requires to short some circuit. I wouldn't want an unexperienced teenager of some drive by shop fry the controller.

Also during the past two weeks I had seen about two more Honda Zoomers zapping past by me. Anyone on here owns one ? Has anyone tried to replace the vario? Any improvement in acceleration ?

thanks,
Hollister

No luck with the Honda dealer, or any other shop. Sorry Hollister.
Mine has been sitting in the carport for nearly a year now sadly not runing:-(
The bicycle shop across from the Suzuki shop north of Chomsin on Petchakasem has a few similar models parked out near the curb lately... maybe they could provide some direction??
Good luck.
