Sound proofing house against low frequency noise (bass)

Post by Paderborn »

Hello everyone,
This links to the post Missing you bar (formerly Dicks office)
We have a bar opened quite close to our property, and the loud music is unbearable. Especially the low frequency bass noise, which is the really the worst. The booming sound penetrates & reverberates inside the house.
I wondered if anyone could advice on further soundproofing the house or combating/reflecting back the sound in some way.
Is there such a thing as double or triple glazing here in Hua Hin? would it help to install if it exists?
Sound dulling paint?...anything we are desperate!
We are having the back wall raised by a couple of feet, but I dont think this will have any impact on the problem.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help with this
Cheers paderborn

I'm not sure anything works against that lower frequency (bass) as it is felt as much as heard.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
