There's an interesting video contained in that link, but it doesn't really tell us anything new. However, there was one revelation for me ie a many of Thailand's buses are basically home-made, with no modern safety features - the video says it's quite difficult to tell the difference.

They do look quite impressive with the fancy paint-work but underneath it's a different story as the video explained.
Very sad story and all too common, India is supposed to be #1 in the league table of most dangerous countries for road accidents but Thailand must be in the top 5 if true numbers were known.
