I'm wondering if i should throw a sky analog box and analog lnb into the suitcase coming back from the uk. Also i wonder would the sky digital LNB work on the ubc system.

I wouldn't bother with anything analog any more. If you don't want to subscribe to UBC, you can always get a C/ Ku package installed for twenty thousand or so baht locally.

Suggest you throw the old Analog box into the bin rather than your suitcase

into the skip with the analog box so.

am amazed at the way prices of electronics have come down in uk since last time there. a dvd recorder with tuner and time for the tv is 59 pounds while in hua hin the cheapest was 13,000. 3 times the price. the good garden furniture is actually cheaper here. how fuked up is that when cost of labour in thailand should have it much cheaper there.

Any idea if the sky digital LNB (the bit on the arm in front of satelite) will work in thailand with UBC box for the weekend house in thailand. I don't want a second subscription with ubc and could carry the ubc box between them.
it's 600 baht a month for the full sky package now for first 3 months with free installation and free equipment over here. maybe ubc will give a few extra english channels(the mean shiits) soon and them blank future channels will dissapear. Coming back here makes me realise just how stupidly mean them ubc owners are. Chinese of course.

UBC gets it's satellite feed off Thaicom 3. If you have a standard digital Ku LNB it should not be a problem. I think the main problem would be getting around the digital coding at the receiver end.

You can look up satellite info here:
