Hi, There are but it depends what you want. If its a yamaha electric then there is a shop near sports villa that is a yamaha dealer. If its an acoustic then there are a few shops but low quality end. Your best bet is Bangkok without a doubt where you can buy anything. I brought my Lowden 025c over from the UK as you cant buy them here.

I will be looking to buy something like a cheap Yamaha or Fender (made in Japan/China type) acoustic to keep over in HH and torture the neighbours with. Is that the sort of thing I will be able to find in HH Randy or will I have to go to BKK? What are the prices like for these bottom end brand names?

I bought a Takamine in Bangers years ago for about 7,000. You can get cheaper Yammies in HH for 3-4,000, put some decent strings on there and they sound just as good .............. providing you can play
