Hi simflier, It's a bit difficult to post a pic of our full-day cruises.
As Big Boy said (thanks for the help BB), you can check out our HHAD webpage and/or go to our website below.

If you need any more information, just let me know :)

Wasn't sure where to post this but here seemed as good a place as any. One of our Thai business promoters (a kamoi) enabled us to have a day out down at Mermaid Cruises a couple of months back (would've posted earlier but just located the SD card in wife's camera bag!!), I hadn't been down there for several years and was really impressed with what Barry and his team have done with the place. Apart from the picturesque marina setting it's a proper little mini-zoo, my boy actually managed to entertain himself for the half day which was a first.

Anyway I thought it worthy of a quick note and some pics, a punters report type thing, as I genuinely think it's a quality set-up down there and is worthy day trip on any visitors ittinery, and Barry I'm really not looking for a plug in return, that's not why I'm posting this, a simple yes or no as to whether the alarm panel's still hanging on the wall or not will suffice

Here's the new Suncat solar & wind-powered catamaran, which is an awesome piece of kit...

And last but not least the 'slow loris', there was a mum-sized one in an enclosure nearby...

Here's a vid of a slow loris being tickled which Barry actually showed us with theirs...

Not trying to knock anything with this, but an innocent post showing a Slow Loris could lead to problems. They are a protected species and it is against the law to keep them in captivity without a permit. By the look of that one he is in the best place for him, (if that is not the one that died).

There has been a recent program on one of the Discovery Channels documenting the illegal trading in these animals, and the attempts to catch the perpetrators.

We went on the one day eco-cruise with Mermaid Cruises in between Christmas and New Year - which provided a pleasant relief (temporary of course) from the boozy seasonal excesses.
It was a really good day out, particularly the morning where we cruised silently through the mangrove swamps. Barry and his team were very welcoming and informative - and the midday meal provided was absolutely fab. Not only would we all recommend it to others but we'd also like to do it again.
Thanks Barry

We have been on Mermaid cruises many times over the last few years. Always a pleasure and have sent many friends on private charters with nothing but glowing reports. Having worked on boat tours for many years we can attest to the fact that Barry and Tan have got the job right. The Suncat dinner cruises are a "MUST DO" on the to do list here IMO.

We recently went on the new tour "The Firefly" All of the guests were seasoned Thai expats and Thai nationals working in the tourist industry. All were impressed with a fantastic day out and will certainly be recommending to friends and family.

Keep up the good work guys

Reminds me of that "bring out your dead" scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

We would like to wish all our customers and everyone on the forum a great Songkran holiday.

I would also like to take this opportunity to let everybody know that we now offer our guests even more boat tour and cruising possibilities.

1. We are still very active on the Monkey Island/Sam Roi Yod trip, having done this tour more than 12 times in the last 2 months or so.
In fact, in addition to taking our guests onto Monkey Island, we are the only company that offers passengers the chance on a normal day tour to take one of our speedboats from the Peacock to the National Park beach and actually go into the park to see the Phraya Nakhon cave at no extra cost (i.e. 200 baht entrance fee and speedboat included in the cruise price).
Our next cruise there is this coming Saturday, 14 April.

2. We are the only company offering full-day river and mangrove cruises including an extensive lunch in our riverside restaurant area and are the only company in Thailand and S.E. Asia designing, building and operating eco-friendly electrically driven boats for these tours.

3. We are the only cruise company in the area that actually has its own private marina, with shaded seating areas as well as proper bathroom, refreshment and restaurant facilities.

4. Our Firefly tour to the Ampawah Floating Market, including a cruise along the Mae Klong River after dark in our latest all-electric boat to see the fireflies, is now up and running.

5. We offer 5-hour charter cruises on our new solar/wind-powered catamaran, SunCat1, travelling to Leopard Island, Hat Sai Noi beach and along the Pranburi River.

6. We also have 6 speedboats for hire for between 2 and 6 passengers, as well as kayaks, plus 4 electric road vehicles that we have developed and built.

7. We are also a working marina and have wet/dry moorings for rent. We have our own slipway, carry out boat repairs and arrange skipper's licences, boat registration and boat insurance from our marina.

For more detailed information, please visit our updated website or contact me personally by phone or email (details below)

Have a very enjoyable and safe holiday everyone.

^^I thought this was a really bizarre post...

... then I saw the other 28!

EDIT: While I'm on here, can I just support all the reviews above and add my own thanks to Barry, Tan & co for the great service they provide.

And on top of that, they are extremely active in supporting local good causes, especially the two orphanages often mentioned on the forum.

Thanks guys!
