why cant U adopt and read what we R 2 Tell U?
btw
kool = kewl
(a 40yr old)
What fascinates me is why would someone using text speak, which is designed to save characters on mobile phone messages, type things like 'kewl' rather than 'cool'? How many letters and how much time does it save?And as I have already said there is absolutely no need for it, or the absence of capital letters or punctuation, on message boards like this. By the way (or btw

It's called 'Hua Nam Sai Suay'Where in HH is that? I tried looking it up on the Hua Hin Nightlife Map but I can't find it.
Its on the HHAD area map, grid D-3.
North of the airport, great big place you won't miss it.
Not many farangs there though, lots of Thai blokes giving you odd looks.

This thread is really amusing
. How old is old? Where are we drawing the line? Sultry seems to be drawing it at 25-ish, but others are drawing it at 35 or 40. Are we all drawing the line at a couple of years older than ourselves?
I must be strange, the age of my companions has never bothered me.
But as for where people go, I've often seen students from one of the universities (Webster??) meeting up at Mai Thai near the Hilton before a night out

Open Invitation to The Young People
I will be having a new years party at my house when next in Hua Hin. All the lonely young people in the town are welcome as there will be jelly, blancmange, pop and crisps as well as pin the tail on the donkey and pass the parcel. I am trying to book Chartchai the Clown but he is very busy so it might have to be karaoke again.
Yours,

P.S. if you want to take part in the musical chairs, you will need to bring your own chair (ask mum or dad to carry it for you, though).

Good luck in finding jelly here. I've never seen the cubed stuff we buy in England, here. I have seen powdered jelly on the odd occasion, though! Maybe you should bring jelly & angel delight from UK
Will there be trifle??

You can buy jelly in Tesco Lotus. But Angel Delight... ahhh ..... I'm coming over all old and retrospective. Mmmm, artificial food was never so good as it was in the seventies! Some tinned mandarin oranges on the top would go down a treat!
Trifle? Maybe.... but ARE YOU YOUNG ENOUGH DAWN?
There's only room for one old person at this party - I want The Young People all to myself!

Damn, I'm out of luck!!
From your posts, I reckon we're about the same age (36?)
However, for Angel Delight & mandarin oranges, I may just gatecrash!! (as long as it's not butterscotch flavour! Yuk!
)
By the way, I remember the ringos ad!

Re: Young people in HH
I believe I am "young", I am in the grey area of mid to late twenties. My husband, though, would probably only fall under "young at heart."Sultry wrote:Besides tourists, are there a lot of young (20-something) people living in HH?
