Medsai - it is really difficult to read your posts with all that punctuation going on. Not necessary really.
Re: Big C coming to Hua Hin
Gee whiz Medsai--Do we have a happy camper here in Thailand? If you don't like Tesco, Makro and whatever else I can't imagine what you might satisfy you. That new Makro is absolutely amazing in the food items it carries and you don't like it??? If Big C floats you boat then make the drive to Peachaburi and get happy.

Re: Big C coming to Hua Hin
On the Pala-U Rd, leaving HH you may have noticed a large patch of bare ground on the left (soon after the shop-houses dry up on the left)..THIS now has started to be cleared, & when I asked a food-vendor who's pitch is just before this site she said "Big C come soon".
Dunno if it will be a store that covers the whole area, or maybe more shop-houses with a Big C Express within them..?? But IF it's a sizable store, it will be good for folk on that side of town when present/future traffic makes it damn hard to get across town to Tesco/MV.

Re: Big C coming to Hua Hin
I am reliably informed that a mid size Big C is being built just outside the town centre in Cha Am. After leaving CA and heading towards HH it is only a few hundred metres on the left hand side, opposite the water board office. They have already cleared the site and starting work, but not sure how long the build programme is. Not really convenient for HH dwellers, but great for us living near CA.

Oh sure, Pala- U Rd is about 7 Klms - so please be a bit more precise, because 'shop houses' are everywhere ?

Yes, you won't know for sure until the day it opens so just keep shopping where you usually do until the doors are open, wherever they may be.Does anyone have any FACTS?
When it's open, plenty of people will be able to direct you to it's location.
Facts make for very short forum topics.

Usual Suspect is obviously unaware that rumours like these need to have precise information.PET wrote:usual suspect wrote:On the Pala-U Rd, leaving HH you may have noticed a large patch of bare ground on the left (soon after the shop-houses dry up on the left)..THIS now has started to be cleared, & when I asked a food-vendor who's pitch is just before this site she said "Big C come soon".

By copy of this note would US please provide a grid reference.
Re: Big C coming to Hua Hin
Usual Suspect gave enough info for anybody with a brain to identify where he means. It's on the left leaving HH. It's the first large clearing just after passing the shops. It's just before the road swings right and starts climbing the hill. What more do you need to know. Re: Big C coming to Hua Hin
The land in question where a Big C store is to built is just under 2km out of town, opposite the Luk Nam disco.
Some of the food vendors on the edge of the site have been notified that space will be available for them when the store eventually opens.

Hasn't the location been clearly enough identified already without the need for a plug for Luk Nam?News wrote:The land in question where a Big C store is to built is just under 2km out of town, opposite the Luk Nam disco.

Obviously my attempt at sarcasm was misplaced.
