Best place to watch Hockey???
O.K some would call it a sickness but I do like to partake of a viewing of Hockey(Vancouver Canucks) In a public domain where pub fare is eaten with other like minded brain dead ice lovers. Any places where NHL is shown??? Please I beg you where may I find such a spot of like minded or well even these who must see the occasional skinny.

CBC.ca.....streaming......Good ole Hockey Night in Canada.... if all else fails...
But I do remember catching a Leafs / Flyers game in one bar years ago....forget which one...
I'd be reluctant to watch any Vancouver game....fearing a violent riot could break out if they lose...

Canadians still play Hockey?
I thought they gave up when the Stanley Cup moved south in 1994...

I would hardly call New York City that much more South than most Canadian teams... except that it is a bit south of the 49'th parallel... as compared with say... Tampa Bay winning which then would really make it south...
NHL hockey has been a hard sell in Thailand unless the bar owner happens to be Canadian and caters to a usual Canadian clientele....I can probably count on one hand the times when I was alone in a bar flicking through channels and finding a hockey game on rebroadcast .... but then the inevitable always happens, where a few Europeans drop in and majority rules go into effect and soon soccer replaces the hockey.... no big deal...
IMHO....Hockey is a more exciting, faster paced spectator sport to watch than soccer....and I realize also that this statement could get me beat or killed....and fighting and hooliganism associated with hockey is conducted on the ice surface by the players themselves... and not the fans in the stands which is a rather refreshing change from Soccer....

Over the years...I've tried to get interested in soccer , however sadly... I wouldn't know who the better team was between Carlsberg, AIG, Barclays, UNICEF, or Samsung....

Isn`t it a bit difficult for 11 players on each side to stand up when playing hockey on ice? It`s not fair on the Indians and Pakistanis who have always excelled at hockey as they don`t often have frozen pitches to practice on. I do hear though that there is a minority sport called ice-hockey where the players wear special footwear to help them stay upright.
