I wasn't aware you played both chips on the same game so i just checked it out & came up with this;

Insurance can be played on the same game as your Banker but will not protect your Banker Bonus should you predict an incorrect match outcome.

You're correct it used to protect the bonus score, not this year though.
So no, you won't be seeing your bonus back after tonights games
