Ryan Giggs,900 games for United and scores the winner in the second minute of injury time ! 8)
But other than his and Scholes goals there was only an excellent performance from De Gea for United to enthuse about.

A shame the Arsenal v Spurs match was on at the same time.I kept flicking over channels and every time there seemed to be a goal......unfortunately,for Spurs fans after they appeared to have the game under control in the first 40 minutes.
Ledley King,in particular, seemed to be really struggling.......dont think he's able to train......how come they dont give Dawson a game ?
Just a crazy match all round I think.

No word from Baa Baa yet about his teams epic Carling Cup triumph ??
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

I know that in Gervinho Arsenal have one of the strangest looking players in the Premiership, but has anyone else noticed the resemblance between Gareth Bale and Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes?

I think BaaBaa must have enjoyed one hell of a celebration! :P

Churlish to comment on the fact such a one-sided game went to penalties, or the 2 soft goals Liverpool conceded! :? Whatever, it was a deserved win.

I enjoyed the game and for the neutral, penalty shoot-outs don't get much better. The save the Cardiff keeper made from Gerrard (S), was stunning, but will sadly soon be forgotten.

I only saw the 2nd half of the Arse-Spurs game. I thought the teams had swapped shirts? So many anonymous players in White - I can't think what happened - but the right result for Chelsea as well and lo! At the Bridge, AVB changed things, provided cover for the defence in the shape of Essian, made Lamps captain and we win 3-0. There's a lesson there. :thumb:

Obviously I enjoyed our cup win, it's hardly one to come on gloating about but one that's always nice to win and hopefully we kick on from here.

Another big game on Saturday.

Dreadful!

Yep, as good as we were in spells (apart from the first 15mins  ), your lot really were dreadful.
The 2-0 lead was flattering & you could just sense a comeback was on the cards.
Didn't quite expect it to be so overwhelming.
I couldn't quite understand the formation nor the tactics 'arry deployed :?

It could be analysed & debated until your blue in the face, but 'arry did get it right in the after match interview, 'it was just one of those days.'

Good chance to bounce back this weekend with the manure coming to the lane.
No better way to test your character

Like Arcadian, i'm not one to gloat but just in case you missed the ending . . . . . . .

I was just about able to watch, though sure I was hallucinating, until Parker's "tackle". The TV was switched off before the card came out.

Personally, I think Bale looks more like a monkey... :?

There was something weird about the line-up too. Kranzcjar is a fine player, but just a tad slow in thought and movement for current Spurs style, especially with Lennon and VDV on the bench. King has been a great asset, but if Dawson is fit, he really should be first choice now. And Adebayor should have been taken off instead of Saha - he was a complete waste of space on Sunday; that smile was starting to get up my nose!

Anyway, hopefully things will be put right this weekend. If we beat Man U we still have a shout at 2nd. If we don't we'll have to focus on staying a comfortable 3rd. Could be a lot worse...

Let's hope the wheels have not come off.

Think that harry thought Arsenal would be a not so difficult game. Kranjčar should have never played, away from home with another attacking midfielder and two up front, crazy! Watched him closely all through the first half and he was waltzing around with no urgency. Sandro (Not sure if he's 100%) should have started along with VDV and one up front. Can't remember the last time we played two up front away. Harry gave a nice late xmas present away

We are due a win over Man United.

Team away at Man City:
24 Friedel
03 Bale
04 Kaboul
26 King
28 Walker
32 Assou-Ekotto
07 Lennon (Pienaar - 88' )
08 Parker Booked
11 Van der Vaart (Livermore - 67' )
14 Modric
18 Defoe

ps Still hurting :(

Time for him to move on, you`ve had the best of him just as Arsenal, Man City and Real Madrid did before they realized he was lazy and a liability.

Not 100% certain about that, He played a blinder in the previous 5-0 drubbing of Newcastle.

For once I gotta agree with you BB.......can't see any problem with the ad but then again it is the Guardian reporting it :thumb:
