...thing is you're not in Europe now. There's really no point endlessly comparing prices of things to prices in places too far away for you to be actually able to source them for.

In England I can get a frozen cheesecake for 60bt? so what? I'm not there! And, guess what? A Thai meal would cost... around 14-20 Euro, as opposed to a couple of Euro here. What the the lifestyle giveth with one hand, it taketh with the other!

The comparison with a night out (or a nice meal somewhere) is much more reasonable, as that's something tangible to compare it with in the place that you are. But still, not everybody wants to, or is logistically able to, go out 4 or 5 times a week, so a night in with a cheesecake might just be what the doctor ordered.

Anyway, I can see these being very popular especially for special occasions. And the prices seem reasonable for a whole cheesecake, considering a small slice will set you back 90bt most places I've seen.

We tried one of the cheesecakes a while back and have to say it was superb - comfortably served 10, all of whom I'm sure would love to sample the full range :D

14-20 Euro - well, as Pleng says you can't really compare pricing. BUT these are well made "luxury" cheesecakes IMHO and as far as we're concerned worth the money....... 60bt frozen cheesecakes from England they ain't!!

For at least 20 years in the US so much of what is called cheesecake is mostly air. A proper cheesecake has to be served in thin slices just to give the average Joe a chance at finishing it. Such 8 to 10 inch cakes contain 2 pounds of cream cheese. That this firm's cakes have 10 slices in an 8 inch cake gives me hope.
