TRS Pool Salt Suppliers

Post by vistana »

We are trying to find out if there is a local supplier of TRS Pool Salt (25 kilo bags) in Hua Hin, this salt has a stabilizer built in so to speak, the manufacturer company is in Bangkok, but hopefully they might have a local distributor.

Any one know if any of the Hua Hin Pool Companies sell this product?

Thanks

I dont think There is any mention as to how much stabilizer they put in the pool salt, we sell normal salt and then add the stabilizer manually so you can get the correct levels in you pool.

Hi C.J.
The following is from the companies web site, what we thought was attractive was the fact it has less hardness and no iodine so the electrolytic cell takes longer before it gets calcified and has to be cleaned.
I agree it does not mention how much stabilizer is in the salt, will give it a try if no good will go back to ordinary salt and the separate stabilizer.... As a matter of interest how do you calculate how much stabilizer you would need in a 33 cubic metre pool with approx 33,500 litres of water?

"pool salt is pure refined and high quality
Without hardness and iodine. Scale will deposit on electrolytic cell slower than normal salt
Not cause of scale that deposit on edge and floor of pool
Have stabilizer for helping retain hypochlorite in your pool. Hypochlorite is rapidly dissipated
by sunlight and the stabilizer will reduce this dissipation "

From TRS web site.

Still trying to get hold of TRS Pool Salt in the HH area, have tried many of the local pool suppliers and they all say they can not obtain it, which is rather odd as its a good product and does not damage the Chlorinator or the cell as much as the refined salt all the local shops sell. ( see TRS web site for info)
We are trying to get about 12 bags, and don't mind looking further afield so if anyone can help we would be very grateful.

I am just speaking to TRS at the moment to see if we can get specs to see how much stabilizer is in the salt, i am also going to order some of the salt and do tests my self to see how it differs from normal salt we use.

i think we should have stock in the next week or so i will keep you posted.
