Hotel recommendations in HH . . .
Hotel recommendations in HH . . .
Guys,
I'm organising my visit to HH in order to have a look around, suss out the property scene and hopefully play some golf!! I'm still keen to possibly retire out there with my Thai partner, but this visit will be on my own.
What are the best hotels in town? I do like my creature comforts so looking for a good 4 or 5 star hotel, close to where it's all happening.
Look forward to hopefully meeting a lot of you guys.
Thanks in advance for any help/recommendations.
Cheers,
Dave

Thanks Harry, I did see that, but as you know hotels will always advertise themselves as best they can, which isn't always the truth.
I was looking for people who had actually stayed at some of them - Hilton, Sofitel, etc - the top ones - who may have comments, recommendations, experiences, advice, etc.

I have had a good look at the Hilton and Sofitel on the HHAD hotels thread. The hotels look good. Difficult to say how far they each are from the town centre itself. Ideally they'd be staggering distance from where the action is - don't want to be ar$ed with getting transport back.
Harry wrote:^ My apologies mate. Just trying to be as helpful as possible.Sadly I have no personal experience of the top class places, except for the odd bar & disco excursion. I'd rather slum it & spend my money on beer & gals. *did I really just say that

Thanks Harry, I do appreciate your reply and the link.
Maybe I'll slum it too - although I do intend to stay 100% on the straight and narrow, once a few of those beers go down you never know what will happen. I wonder what the Hilton and Sofitel's stance would be if I did stray off the straight and narrow . . . .
Friendly atmosphere, good music, British sports on a large screen tv (golf, football) and although I probably wouldn't be drawn, a beautiful set of girls that don't pester but interesting to chat to.Harry wrote:What exactly is it you're looking for in a bar? Facilities & entertainment wise that is, alcohol is taken for granted.DaveT wrote:Which bars do you recommend?
What do you reckon?

Very good Harry.
Now that is too pigeon English to dream up, so I reckon that's a live email that one of those MENSA Thai ladies sent you that you've cut and pasted.
Did you send her £10K?
