There are pages of houses for rent here: http://propertyhuahin.net/property.php?type=H&for=R

May we remind members that abusing the PM system to plug their own properties is strictly forbidden and will result in the service being disabled. We offer a very cheap and effective method of marketing properties for rent on this website.

Thanks

One of my neighbors rents his sister's house out on her behalf if you're interested. There is nothing in it for me......I'm simply trying to help. In fact, I'm not even sure if it's currently available since there were people here looking at it the other day. It's a newish house, three bedrooms, and a pool, and as far as I know it's fully furnished and equipped. I'm also not exactly sure what they charge, but if my memory serves me correctly, I think it's about 22 to 25 thousand baht depending on whether you take it via the agent or whether you take it directly through the owners.

Oh yes, it's just opposite my own home in Soi 6.

If you're interested I'll get our neighbors number and the two of you can make arrangements.

I believe Soi 102 is wayyyy South of HH town and not so long ago you could BUY a house for 36,000 down there :naughty:

Pagey :naughty: , Yes very naughty!
What do you call wayyy south of Hua Hin?
If you think 102 is wayyy south you are not very well travelled are you? :naughty: 'Perhaps now I am being naughty.

Soi 102 is just couple of minutes to the market village, slightly longer to the centre of town (which is spreading rapidly), the beach and a good hospital.

Soi 102 bashing on here seems good sport to some!.

Whilst to others it is an insult to where they chose to buy/rent their chosen property or business. We shouldn't forget that this area may be perfect for some people!

What about anyone who is looking to sell or rent their properties/s in that area are you being fair to them? How about the estate agents might it cost them a sale?

There is always a place for tongue in cheek banter, I enjoy that more than anyone, but not when the outcome can have such a negative affect on someones future or livelihood.

Soi 102 has a lot going for it, not just it's handy location, but some of the best small bars & restaurants in town along with friendly & helpful landlords and owners. Good shops & services like hairdressers, physio's pharmacy, small hotels, dressmakers, garage, motor cycle repair etc

Very soon (well maybe not that soon) Soi 102 will have the best road in Hua hin title, when the new drainage and road surfacing, & landscaping is complete.

102 is a great place to rent Barry 720, with everything you will most likely need quite near. The rental rates range from very cheap to outrageously expensive. Yes and some have swimming pools as well.

I know of a lot much more "ropey" places to stay here in Hua Hin, but would be reluctant to name them for these very reasons... just in case it had an adverse effect for someone.
Good luck in your search Barry 720

Okay no problem Barry. As soon as I seen our neighbor going about I'll get his number. He's a Swedish chap but speaks fluent English and is, from what I understand, a very decent sort of guy.

Paderborn : The OP asked for somewhere West or central to HH. To access Soi 102 you surely travel South and if by road have to cross the flyover and do a U turn back to the entrance if accessing via Petchakasem.

To be fair I haven't been down Soi 102 for a few years and the house I looked at was 1.6 mill not 36,000 but you needed another 1.6 mill to buy a 4x4 to access it.

I have heard they are building a new road but will it still flood ? Only time will tell.

An honest reliable Estate Agent will surely point out the problems accessing that Soi and the measures being taken to remedy it. :duck:

Caveat Emptor.

Yes Pagey, The OP asked for somewhere West or central to HH.
Two posters mentioned (yourself included) Soi 102 before I did.
I just spoke in defence of the area following your "tongue in cheek" comment.
No hard feelings

I dont think soi 102 has had bad flooding for a long time now, they installed big drains about 5 years ago in front of Country homes - remember pictures on here of army guys in boats in that area!
They have just reopened the U turn before teh flyover/underpass for soi 102 - maybe temporary as its dangerous.
I reckon soi 102 is not a bad place to be. :)

Right now, they are installing new drains, and paving the road with concrete, so nice place to live, and easy acces to town. There are several places for rent up here where I´m living ar resenbly prices.
