KFC are opening in the Hua Hin Colonnade Mall facing Phetkasem Road. MK Restaurant also opening adjacent to KFC.

No, I will not be doing a report on KFC after it opens.

An after thought... where could they have possibly get the name Colonnade Mall from? The building does not come near to such a description

I am a "MK" fan! My friend who is The Executive Chef at Hyatt took me there for dinner as that is his family's favorite restaurant. He is Italian and his wife is Indonesian. I loved the food, concept and price.

I'm an occasional MK fan, too. But the senile-looking Col. Sanders as a trademark for in-saturated-fat-deep-fried (seagull?)-wings they call chicken is to me the worst turn-off in the fast food business. RIP; Col. Sanders - and take your greasy birds back to where they came from.

I am not really an MK fan, best description I ever heard was "uncooked food served in ash trays." But Thais love the place so they are doing something right, it must be the dance, surly the highlight of any MK meal.

Yes the only glimmer of hope I could see there last December was a Body Shop - long overdue IMO. Otherwise it will probably slip back into a food court therefore defeating the object.
I think that corner did need tidying up a bit - but not necessarily to provide another shopping/eating experience in the kind of air-conditioned sterile surroundings which the Thais seem to think everyone wants. (Sorry I forget - THEY want!)
As for the name which another poster has commented on - why not just Satukarn Mall? Maybe too easy. And I'm sure I've seen the new name spelt 'Collunade' on one of the signs...

MK for me take it or leave it, the mrs loves it and can't wait till are baby girl is bigger so they can enjoy together i think there used to be another company on the PK road called Hot Pot.
