How early can I extend annual Non Imm "O" visa?

Post by Don East Stand »

Hi

Can someone, anyone, please confirm how "early" I can extend my annual Non Imm "O" visa (retirement)

I think it might be 30 days before expiry of current one, but despite searching on here I can't seem to find the information.

Thanks in anticipation

Yep, any more than that and they'll tell you to come back later.

If you have a good reason to do it earlier than in the 30 days before expiry period (for instance you have travel plans) it can be done. Best to explain your situation and it won't hurt if you can show them some 'proof' like ticket and/or hotel reservation.
We are all living in 'the good old days' of the future.

Jimmy, don't be so quick with the brown envelope :D In 4 1/2 years in BKK I only ever did the palm greasing once. It was when we went to register our marriage and I was charged a 500b "service fee." I consoled myself with the fact that a colleague who didn't pay a service fee, paid 600b more than I did for his translation of the marriage certificate for the British embassy. BTW, I saw you at White Hart Lane in about 1968-you were definitely offside :guns:
