Since it's tomorrow, do you know the origin of "April Fools"?
Most scholars think it relates to the changing of the Gregorian calendar created by Pope Gregory XIII in the early 16th century. The calendar originally started each year on April 1st. In 1562 it was decided to make the calendar (and thus the new year) start on January 1 rather than April 1, however in that pre-internet age it took a while for the word to get around to everyone and many people kept celebrating the New Year on April 1st. These people who celebrated on the wrong day became known as April Fools!
