Three Cushion Billiards

Post by DennisC »

Does anyone know if there is a Three Cushion Billiards table in Hua Hin?

In case anyone doesn't know what Three Cushion Billiards is, it is the game with three balls and no pockets in the table.

Thanks for your help.

Wow

Good game but difficult.

Puts pool into the little boys league and snooker and billiards second division

Played it in Holland many moons ago, Working the angles needs a lotta alcohol free thinking

I agree with Richard, it's a very skilful game, but I've never seen one of these tables in HH.
It wouldn't be difficult to have one built, though - there's a very good company in Bkk that makes custom tables.

I used to watch it on the TV. Amazing shots. You couldn't snooker any of the players I watched. For those who do not know what it is then it is played on a table the same size as a normal pool table but without the pockets. There is one playing ball and each person has their own cue ball. The points are awarded for either hitting your ball off three cushions then hitting both other balls or hitting one ball then hitting three cushions and then hitting the other ball as in billiards.
I used to drink in a small pub back in the UK that had a round pool table in the corner. You took your shot then instead of walking round the table as normal you turned the actual table due to the lack of room. Very hard to master due to the curvature of the cushions.
I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!

I thought that with all the Europeans in Hua Hin, some would be Three Cushion Billiard players, since it is fairly popular in many European countries, unlike the USA where I am from. Anyway, if anyone hears that there is such a table in Hua Hin, please let me know. Thanks.
