Thanks Lev
Siam Pearl Cruises stops the ' river & mangrove ' cruise, we recommend Barry and Mermaid Cruises
for this eco-trip.

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
IMO SP and MC are both good events. Use both is my advice

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Hi SP and welcome to the forum.
I was just looking through your website - you say yours are the only boats that go down to Sam Roi Yod and that you have 80% of the local cruising market? Are those claims correct?

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
dtaai maai as far as i know there are 2-3 boat operators that go down to sam roi yod inc sp cruises
Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Hi dtaai-maai and ste860,
Depending from what point of view thoes claims are correct
Since the Sam Roi Yod park asks
a entrance fee of 200B/farang and 40B/thai ( this for a 1/2h stop at monkey island
) we are the only operator left on that cruise, Mermaid Cruises went there twice in 2 months, on a private cruise i suppose, and Mai Tai doesn't go anymore, they replaced the sam Roi Yod cruise by a short Lion Island trip and a visit to the Khao Takiab monkeys
SP does that SRY cruise on a regular base. So yes, except for a few small boats starting from Dolphin bay (probably private) and some times Barry, we are alone over there
As for the 80% of the local cruising market, if one considers the mai tai lion island and khao takiab trip as a cruise than we have about 70% of the local cruising market, if not than we have 95% of that market, eh! Ow, s..., on the website i call our lion island trip a cruise as well
Of course there is some marketing in that claims on the website, but also a " be aware " to the tourists
Mai Tai cruises is still advertising with the SRY cruise, monkey island, dolphins and beautiful 300 peaks scenery...where ?!

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Thanks, SP
That answer sounds a bit like "Ours is the only boat apart from the others"
Your boats look very nice, SP. Where is the Siam Pearl marina?

Yes, that's really why I asked. I don't have any axe to grind here, but there's marketing and then there's, erm, marketing!ste860 wrote:dtaai maai as far as i know there are 2-3 boat operators that go down to sam roi yod inc sp cruises

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Are there any live aboards that operate out of HH that go further down South to Tao, KPG and Samui ? I would have thought that would be a good market to tap into, Cheers
I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!
Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Hehe, dtaai-maai, you give a wrong turn to my answer, maybe following list will help you to understand
operator and number of SRY cruises in the last 40 days
X-Yacht 0
Siam Princess 0
China boat 0
Mermaid Cruises 2 (probably private cruise)
Ringtuva boat 0
Mai Tai cruises 0
Nokinski cruise 0
Sunseeker boat 0
Other "operators" 0
Siam Pearl Cruises 36
2-3 dolphin bay speed boats but they are for private use
What would you answer to your mother in law if she asked on what boat you will take her
for that SRY trip next Sunday ........
Only the SP boats go there mom
I don't have any axe to grind here you say....dtaai maai sounds very mai tai to me,
Our marketing is correct, we bring the people to where they booked for, at the best rates,( there are others ), 70-80 or 90% does that really matter ?

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
And now I'm the competition?
That's fightin' talk!
Except, hang on a sec, looking at your figures, there is no competition.
Which I simply don't believe.
I don't see other operators disrespecting and belittling your business in public, and I really don't understand why it's necessary for you to take such an approach.
And I still don't know where the SP Marina is!

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
last time i was on a boat tour a year or so ago the boats were moored in a marina shared by many others there was a few police or navy speed boats there and plenty of fishing boats
Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Oioioi, it's a hard one ... that there is no more competition for us on the Sam Roi Yod Cruise is a fact.
The SAM ROI YOD CRUISE !! got it ? There is no disrespect or belittling involved by telling facts ! You don't believe huh...then check before speaking about disrespect and belittling.
Find 2 open booking tickets for a SRY cruise this weekend, other than the SP cruise, I pay the tickets and we go together,
Mean time I show you our boats and the marina

Re: Siam Pearl Cruises
Yes indeed ste860, it's a shared marina, the Thai name is Pattara marina, no english name, so give the baby a name ....
For Peter it was the Hua Hin Yacht Club marina, for us the Siam Pearl Cruises marina, what's in a name ?

Actually, I did check first. If I knew I was wrong, I wouldn't post.S.P. wrote: The SAM ROI YOD CRUISE !! got it ? There is no disrespect or belittling involved by telling facts ! You don't believe huh...then check before speaking about disrespect and belittling.

As challenges go, that wasn't very, erm, challenging. One quick phone call and the tickets are available from a long-established operator for you and/or anyone else this weekend. Which is what I presume you mean by 'open'. At a very reasonable rate, I might add - though I suspect if they know you're buying, the price might go up a bit!

Unfortunately I'll be working, but I'll take the cash.

When you girls have finished with the hand bag bashing anybody know the answer to my question ?
