Caruso at the end of the street the Hilton is on. Go to the end near the water, turn left and it is 30 feet past on the left.

Small place, great pizzas!!

There's a place at the far end of Soi 80, next to Eagle Bar, that does good Pizzas from 150bt. They have a menu that's suspiciously similar to one of the big bars along the Hilton stretch. Prices are lower, quality is on par.

In my search for a wood fired pizza oven I came across these smart looking portable models.

Finally made it to Casa Mia on Pala U the other night. Was by far the best pizza I've had in HH.

Was the Italian guy there (Marco?), I remember when they opened the pizza being good, but after a few months they were not very good at all. Seems like they have made a comeback!

Didn't see any Italian looking guy John...youngish Thai chef..I guess pizza is a matter of personal taste and I like mine thin and crispy and it was done to perfection IMO....house Red was a little ropey so I had to top my glass up with Cola (Spanish style).

Like 'JW' I also thought it was very good when it first opened ( 3 years ago?) but went downhill when Marco left at least 18months or so ago.
It has had Thai chefs since then and I have just had the odd take away which have varied from good to poor, but I do like the thin crispy style.

+1 Appreciate that you offered some description of Casa Mia's type of pizza, thin and crispy.

Tried pizza at Livanto recently. It was crap.

The mass of cheese & toppings had no hold on the crust, so the whole mess wanted to slide or get dragged off. Don't know how they manage that in the kitchen, but any pie I've had that did that was crap in other ways too. Cheese was rubbery and not stretchy. Hard to bite through which just dragged the connecting cheese/topping off the unbitten part. Sauce was so bland it stood out and not in a good way.

Crust had the worst possible set of traits in my opinion. Crust at tip of slice had zero support so when picked up the tip end curled under, causing the mass of cheese & topping to slide. That's not a problem if one can bend the the corners of the outside of the slice together. Do that at Livanto and the crust breaks, leaving one with a mess at both ends of the slice. Was this by design? Was the center undercooked or the edge overcooked? Doesn't matter, I won't be back.

They look good, but I guess the downfall is going to be that you didn't come across these in Thailand - if you did, then please tell us more?

The service is probably still poor, but the Pizzas' - that's the report we want

You don't have to

TBH to date I've never seen anyone order the sausage stuffed crust. Well, my favourite pizza is still the thin and crispy at Pizza Company. Haven't been to a lot of the places mentioned but the few that I have tried in Hua Hin were absolute crap... but at nearly half the price of the Pizza Company I couldn't really complain that much. You get what you pay for I suppose.
