Well, in all the exuberance, don't do or let anything silly happen to you or your entourage as silliness seems to propagate itself at this time of year.

If you want to venture out of town a little ways south, Pranburi has the festival on Monday with Pak Nam Pran due to have theirs on Tuesday. But remember - anything can change in the next few hours!!

Medieval punishment has returned to Thailand! Pete

"On tourist-friendly Khao San Road, police caught one of the pervs trying to use Songkran to molest foreign women, and dealt him some rough and mocking justice. The sign reads, "I love to touch girls' boobs."

The Spirit of Songkran?
As always, I say I'm not going out, but after the missus departed to celebrate with her family and a few beers alone at home, I did so. And had a good time.
Anyway, I'd only taken a limited amount of money with me and had none at home except for loose change - 5 and 10 Baht coins. I wasn't going to go to the ATM yesterday.
When my money finished, it was time to go home and as I could barely walk and didn't fancy getting wet again, I got a tuk tuk. Got home and said to the driver "wait a minute and I'll get your 100 Baht" and by the time I'd got the locks to the house sorted out and 10x10 coins counted, he'd gone.
A free ride?
Somehow I don't think so, so I really should go back later and try to find him. However, I think a decent story for once of a tuk tuk driver taking a farang waif back home for free - so far. If I find him, he'll get a decent tip

You were lucky - we couldn't find a tuk tuk anywhere. And we had money

Yesterday was so good! Happy lovely people, so much laughter and not a hint of any trouble. A proper reminder of what is so wonderful about Thailand.

First one I have taken part in, in 6 years enjoyed myself for a couple of hours and will be happy to wait another 6 years for the next one.

Did the Binta block and the best I've seen in years.

Many bars ran out of water and one even had the tanker turn up to fill the tanks. Plenty of ice too. Watched 2 BG's hauling a giant block of ice into Suki bar and both went arse over tit in the process. First time I've seen a BG spreadeagled in the street with a slab of ice on top of her  Would have made a good caption picture but too late with my camera :(
